The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, the
State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Ministry of Education
signed a protocol of intention today, to build a French school in
the country.
At a meeting held at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation
prior to the signing ceremony, First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of
the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, MP
Mehriban Aliyeva expressed hope that the French school will have a
positive impact on processes of development of the education in
Azerbaijan.
Mrs. Aliyeva appraised the Azerbaijani - French
relations and attributed the opening of the French school in Baku as
the next step in successfully developing cooperation between the two
